The Mar Vista Moment Is Here
Dear Friends & Neighbors,
Remember when Frank sold 3604 Moore Street last month and he was saying that Mar Vista is having its moment? I sneakily snuck in that I had a listing coming to market soon. Well, here it is. And it is stunning.
It sits behind a gated entry on Boise, and the second you walk through the door you understand that whoever designed this was not cutting corners or chasing trends. They were making something that was meant to last.
Custom oak millwork. Imported French hardware. Kolbe windows that track the light all day like the house was oriented around it. The kitchen stopped every single person who came through, and I say that having watched it happen in real time. Dusty blue-green cabinets, a copper range hood, an island big enough to actually live around. Wolf, Sub-Zero, Miele. It is the perfect kitchen for someone who loves to host.
The ADU is what really surprises people. Two full levels, a rooftop deck, its own gated carport and Sonos system. It is not an afterthought. It is a whole second chapter.
And when you are ready to leave the house, which will take a while, Hatchet Hall and Alana's Coffee are practically neighbors.
Come see it. Some things only make sense in person.

And Since We Are Talking About Boise Ave...
Hatchet Hall is practically a neighbor to this listing and honestly one of the best spots to bring a group in the city. The plates are made for sharing, the food is consistently great, and the energy is always right. Southern cooking with a California soul, a sprawling pergola patio out front, tufted leather banquettes inside, and an L-shaped bar that anchors the room.
The menu rotates but expect cast iron cornbread, brown butter dates, oysters, brilliant grilled vegetable sides, and a roasted game hen worth coming back for. It has been helmed over the years by chefs Brian Dunsmoor and Michelin-star-winning chef Wes Whitsell.
And then there is Old Man Bar tucked in the back with its own entrance on Boise Ave. Low lit, fireplace going, all vinyl music, and one of the best whiskey selections in Los Angeles (I've heard). No reservations, just walk in, open until 1am.
A home like 3785 Boise with a place like this around the corner. That is a Mar Vista moment.
Help Save the Latimer Bridge!

If you spend any time in Rustic Canyon, you know the Latimer Road bridge. It is one of those quiet, essential parts of the neighborhood that you cross without thinking, until the day it might not be there.
That day is closer than we would like. The bridge is 40 years old and in urgent need of repair. Without it, a vital connection between Upper Latimer Road and Sunset Boulevard closes to all traffic. The good news is that our community is doing something about it.
The Uplifters Roads, Inc., the local homeowners board, is overseeing the full reconstruction. The project is currently in permitting and is expected to be completed within one to two years. The total cost is $253,000, and the community has already raised $90,000. Every dollar from neighbors reduces the burden on the 70 easement holders who are legally responsible for the bridge and who will see this project through regardless.
This bridge belongs to all of us who walk it, bike it, and love this canyon. If you want to contribute, donations can be made at the link below. The amounts start at $100 and go up from there. It is one of those rare opportunities to put something directly back into the place you love.
A stunning home in Mar Vista, great food around the corner, and a community rallying around a bridge in the canyon. The Westside keeps showing up. So do I. See you at the open house!
xx. Diana
